Halloween-themed cinema for AJ Bell

Last Autumn, we set up a Halloween-themed pop-up cinema for employees of Financial Investment firm AJ Bell in Manchester. Find out what they thought of their very own Village Screen cinema night.

What made you decide to host a Halloween cinema event at your offices? After attending a few Village Screen events we were initially looking to purchase our staff tickets to a Village Screen Halloween event at Victoria Baths but we decided to take a different route. Hosting our very own Village Screen event at our offices fitted perfectly into our low-key Halloween celebrations, with pizzas and beers. Our staff really enjoyed the evening. What were the highlights of your event? The event was fantastic and received all-round positive feedback. The Village Screen brought lots of Halloween decorations and props - much more than I thought! – which really helped to set the scene. Having a classic film like Beetlejuice also helped to create a chilled out vibe, as guests could pop in and out for snacks without being worried about missing certain scenes. Would you recommend The Village Screen team and set up? Yes, definitely! It was such unique social engagement event for AJ Bell staff. From enquiry to the event, all contact with The Village Screen was really friendly and efficient. The two audio visual staff members knew exactly what they were doing, which meant I could leave them to it for a few hours whilst they set up. Our office has some difficult access points which did make the load in and load out quite challenging for The Village Screen team, but they didn’t complain and were very helpful throughout the whole evening. It’s something I would definitely recommend to other organisations, it really helped us with staff engagement. Are you planning an event? Whether it’s a birthday party, special celebration or your work do, you can enjoy the glamour of the big screen! Head HERE to find out how we can help.
