Victoria Baths FAQs

​

How do I contact customer services?

 

For any queries relating to the event or tickets, that are not covered in our FAQs, please contact hello@thevillagescreen.com or by phone on 07947 892738.

Will I receive a physical ticket(s)?

 

You will receive an online booking confirmation email with your tickets attached. Please bring your tickets with you to the event, either printed or on your mobile device, so that the QR code is visible.

​

Will I be allocated seating?

 

There will be enough seating for everyone attending the event. Seating is allocated first come, first served and whilst we will try our best to seat groups of friends/ family together, we cannot guarantee that this will always be possible. We advise you to attend early to reserve your seats.

​

What is the difference in seating options?

 

Those buying pool tickets will be seated on deckchairs in and around the pool. Those buying balcony tickets will be seated on wooden seating on the balcony level, above the pool. Please note that access into the pool and the balcony level is via stairs. We will reserve some space around the side of the pool for wheelchair users. If you are a wheelchair user, please let us know in advance by emailing us at hello@thevillagescreen.com so we can reserve a suitable space at the event for you.

How do I reserve seats?

 

You may wish to bring something with you to reserve your seats before the screening starts, such as a blanket. We cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings going missing during the event.

What if I’m in a wheelchair?

 

The event is accessible for wheelchair users with access available around the side of the pool. If you are a wheelchair user, please let us know in advance by emailing us at hello@thevillagescreen.com so we can reserve a suitable space at the event for you.

I have a carer, can my carer attend the event with me?

 

When purchasing a full price ticket, we can offer 50% discount on an additional ticket for carers.  Please email us at hello@thevillagescreen.com if you require your carer to attend the event with you. Once we have confirmed eligibility, we will send you a discount code to use online, when booking tickets.

​

What if I book a child or concession ticket?

 

We may ask for photographic ID for children if they look 16 or over, so please come prepared. If you have booked a student or senior ticket, you should also bring suitable identification with you. We reserve the right to refuse entry if you are unable to present valid proof of identity.

 

What time does the film start?

 

On the event description and on your ticket, you will find two start times. One is the start of the event-when the doors open, giving you access to the street food, the bar, musical entertainment and the ability to choose where to sit. There will also be a time for the film start, usually around sunset. We ask that all guests arrive no later than 15 minutes before the film start time.

Will there be food and drink?

 

Street food vendors will be serving food before each screening. There will also be film ready snacks and a fully stocked bar serving a range of hot, alcoholic and soft drinks. We will be operating Challenge 25 so please remember to bring photographic identification to buy alcohol if you look or are under 25.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

 

For this event, guests are not permitted to bring their own food and drink into the event.

 

Can I pay by cash and card?

 

This event is card payment only.

Is there a minimum age for this event?

​

Please check the age restriction for your chosen film by visiting the description for your chosen event. You will be asked to acknowledge that everyone in your group is of the correct certified age, when purchasing your event tickets. We may ask for photographic ID if you or anyone in your group looks under the certified age for your chosen film. We reserve the right to refuse entry if you are unable to present valid photographic proof of identity.

I have purchased an add-on item, where do I collect it?

 

If you have purchased an add-on item, such as a blanket, a cushion, a snuggle package etc you will have received a ticket for this. Show this ticket to the registration team when you arrive, and they will assist you in collecting your items. Some add-on items include a deposit, which will be returned once your items have been handed to the registration team, at the end of the event (please see each add-on item for specific details).

I have purchased an on-screen message, when will it be shown?

 

On screen messages are shown on the big screen 30 minutes before the film starts. Messages are displayed on rotation until shortly before the start of the film. Messages are not shown again after the film has finished. Refunds will not be given if you miss seeing your message. Any messages deemed inappropriate or offensive will not be shown, and refunds will not be given.

 

Is this event indoors?

 

Yes, the event is inside Victoria Baths, Please keep in mind that the fantastic nature of Victoria Baths means temperatures can fluctuate with the weather. In the winter months it can get really rather chilly, the beautiful tiles make wearing many layers worth it, wrap up warm! 

In the Summer months, we tend to find it is lovely and warm, you may choose to bring a blanket with you to reserve your seats or for an extra snuggle.

Will there be toilet facilities?

Yes, there will be toilet facilities at the event.

​

What should I bring?

 

Bring your E Tickets with you, either printed or on your phone/ device. If you have booked a student or senior ticket, you should also bring suitable identification with you.

​

Can I smoke at the venue?

 

No, smoking is prohibited. You will need to leave the event to smoke.

 

Can I talk during the screening?

 

We politely ask attendees not to talk during the screening and not to disturb other guests. We reserve the right to remove guests from the screening room who continually disturb others.

​

Will there be parking?

 

A small amount of free parking will be available at Victoria Baths. We recommend using local transport and taxis where possible.

​

Can I bring a dog/ pet with me?

 

We absolutely love dogs but unfortunately, we are unable to accept dogs or any other animals into the event.

​

Can I swim at Victoria Baths?

 

The pools at Victoria Baths are not filled with water so no need to bring swimming costumes!

​

What is the cinema sound like at Victoria Baths?

 

We work with some of the UK's best sound and visual technicians to create fantastic cinematic experiences in quirky locations. However, Victoria Baths is a gigantic, tiled swimming pool and therefore there can sometimes be sound reverberation during our screenings.

​

What if I’m unable to attend the event?

 

Please note, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on ticket purchases.

​

Will you refund my ticket purchase?

 

We do not offer refunds or exchanges on ticket purchases. If we have to cancel the event, we will offer you tickets to another event where possible or refund your ticket at face value (minus the booking fees).

​

Will this film have subtitles?

 

This film will not be subtitled, however you can download the app 'Subtitles Viewer!' on the app store for free. This app enables you to download the film's subtitles onto your device, which you can use whilst watching the film.
